Summer T.V. Premieres – May 31, 2012

Well, it was only a matter of time before someone decided to cash in on the drama and jealously of the ballet world. What makes better reality t.v. than a bunch of perfectionist super-athletes all competing for the same two roles in a production?

Looks like The CW is going to bring you all the Pas De Deux and Plies you could ask for with the premiere of ‘Breaking Pointe’ tonight at 8 PM. Focusing on the Salt Lake City ballet company, Ballet West, the show will follow both the personal and performance lives of it’s best and brightest. We can only hope for some ‘Black Swan’ style freak out to make it interesting.

Summer T.V. Premieres – May 29, 2012

Yet another night of “reality” television for you tonight. Apparently the summer is going to be all about watching real people act like idiots on camera.

The CW will introduce the world to the young and hot staff of Miami’s The Catalina hotel in the aptly named new show ‘The Catalina’ at 8 PM. We know, you’ve all been waiting to see how the staff of a hotel can out party their guests, and now you can. How exciting.

Midseason T.V. Premieres – Jan 31, 2012

Well, after the fun and fashion and competition of last night’s premieres, tonight is going to seem a little boring.

The only thing returning to the airwaves tonight is The CW’s ‘Ringer’ at 9 PM. We tried to love this show, out of loyalty to our girl Sarah Michelle Gellar, but alas, we just couldn’t get into it. The pacing of the show was just too slow for us, we wanted to see “Buffy” kicking ass, not running around pouting and sulking.

But, the show was picked up, so obviously there are those of you out there that really like it! You my friends, are in luck tonight! Happy viewing!

Midseason T.V. Premieres – Jan. 23, 2012

It was a quiet weekend on the premieres front, but now that Monday has arrived there is lots happening!

Premiering tonight on Oxygen at 10 PM is the horror show that is ‘Bad Girls Club: Las Vegas’. We just can’t seem to understand why people like this show. Unlike ‘America’s Next Top Model’ where all the girls are competing for a lucrative future, these girls are literally fighting to see which one can be the “baddest”. Though we’ve never actually seen this show, we’re assuming that means whoever can be the biggest bitch or slut…or both.

Returning to the The CW this evening is ‘Hart of Dixie’ at 9 PM. Zoe Hart and the wacky citizens of Bluebell, Alabama are back from an extended break over the holidays. This show is simply delightful – from Zoe’s short-shorts to the way Lavon Hayes refers to himself as Levon Hayes. And seriously, when is she going to wake up and realize how amazing Wade is?! We can’t wait for 9 PM!

Oh yeah, and ‘House’ is returning to FOX at 8 PM as well…if anyone still watches that show.

Midseaon T.V. Premieres – Jan. 17, 2012

It’s mid January, which is apparently the most depressing time of the entire year. You’ve received all your Christmas credit card bills and now you need a distraction? There are some great distraction options on the television tonight!

The CW is branching out into the ‘reality’ t.v. world with the series premiere of ‘Remodeled’ at 9 PM. From what we can tell, the premise of this show is some former superstar modeling agent is trying to makeover a bunch of small town agencies so the big names don’t destroy them. Sounds really, really boring to us.

Our favourite Geek Goddess returns to FOX tonight at 9 PM. ‘New Girl’ is finally back and we can not wait to see what Jess has in store for Schmidt’s birthday party. While we love Zooey to pieces, we’re willing to admit that Schmidt is one of the funniest characters on the show! We really want them to bring back that ‘Douchebag Jar’. He really, really needs it!

Also premiering tonight:

Southland – TNT 10 PM
Justified – FX 10 PM
Ink Master – Spike 10 PM

Also returning tonight:

Glee – FOX 8 PM
90210 – The CW 8 PM
Raising Hope – FOX 9:30 PM

Midseason T.V. Premieres – Jan 16, 2012

Well, after the, shall we say – surprising – outcomes (we’re still not over Matt Leblanc’s win yet) at the Golden Globes last night we’re ready to get back to our regularly scheduled programming.

‘Alcatraz’, one of the shows we’ve been anticipating most is premiering tonight on FOX at  8 PM. The two-hour premiere will begin yet another time traveling adventure from J.J. Abrams. We’ve got high hopes for this show, and we do love Sam Neill!

The only show returning from hiatus this evening is ‘Gossip Girl’ at 8 PM on The CW. If time-traveling criminals isn’t your thing, perhaps you’ll be happier watching New York City socialites sleep with each other and then complain about it to all their friends.

Also Premiering tonight:

Being Human – SyFy 9 PM
Lost Girl –
SyFy 10 PM

Midseason T.V. Premieres – Jan 11, 2012

Its all about quirky, comedic ladies tonight on NBC.

Returning from the holiday hiatus is our favourite commitment-phobe, ‘Whitney’, at 8 PM. We really love this show and it’s over-the-top comedy. The chemistry between Whitney and Alex is amazing, its what keeps us tuning in. We can’t wait to see what insane antics the couple gets up to next.

At 8:30 PM we get to meet NBC’s newest modern lady in the premiere of ‘Are you there, Chelsea?’. ‘That 70’s Show’ alum, Laura Prepon, plays Chelsea, a sassy, free-spirited bartender. Her cast of wacky co-workers, friends and family round out the ensemble for this new half hour comedy. We’re not 100% sure on this show, but we’ll give it a chance.

‘The People’s Choice Awards’ start the awards season tonight on CBS at 9 PM. ‘The Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Couco hosts the activities. Aimed more towards the younger generations, this is more of a party than an awards show.

Also Premiering tonight

One Tree Hill – The CW 8 PM
Ghost Hunters – Syfy 9 PM
Face Off – Syfy 10 PM

Also Returning tonight:

Harry’s Law – NBC 9 PM
Law & Order: SVU –  NBC 10 PM
